We are looking for experienced hospitality professionals to join our highly successful Food & Beverage team in Whitby’s Restaurant, Sojourn Café & Bar, Room Service, Harbour Lounge, and Conference & Events. Food & Beverage Attendant – Whitby’s Restaurant, Sojourn Café & Bar, Room Service and the Harbour LoungeJames Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor is home to Whitby’s Restaurant and Bar which is well known for its superb a la carte and buffet menu. We also operate a smaller more intimate restaurant, Sojourn Café and Bar, a 24 hour room service menu available for guests staying in one of our 269 guest rooms, and a Harbour Lounge on our 26th floor. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in all of these Food & Beverage outlets. The part time position will provide approximately 20 – 25 hours per week, with starting times predominantly 6.30am, 7.00am, 3.00pm, 4.30pm and 5.00pm. Candidates must be available for a 7 day rotating roster, including weekends. Candidates for the role in Whitby’s Restaurant, Sojourn Café & Bar, Room Service and the Harbour Lounge must also be keen to learn barista and bartending skills, be good at up selling and have cash handling skills. Candidates with barista experience is advantageous. Food & Beverage Attendant – Conference & EventsThe James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor is a versatile Conference and Events venue for a wide range of events. We have 8 Conference rooms in a variety of sizes, with the largest seating up to 250 guests theatre style and 200 guests banquet style. This role involves the setting up of Conference rooms and includes lifting and the moving of heavy objects, such as tables, chairs and other furniture. The part time position will provide approximately 32 - 40 hours per week, with starting times predominantly 7.00am, midday and 3.00pm. Candidates must be available for a 7 day rotating roster, including weekends. Please state the position you are applying for in your application.
