Our Housekeeping Supervisors are considered to be the soul and stability of our housekeeping department and help to shape and mentor the wonderful team. The Housekeeping Supervisor is an autonomous role, providing guidance and growth to a strong and long-term team of our housekeepers and is a key leadership role providing support to the Housekeeping ManagerIt will be the job of the Housekeeping Supervisor to maintain the quality and integrity of the hotel, and the department, through active participation in all aspects of the Housekeeping Department, with a particular emphasis being placed on attaining the highest standard of cleanliness.Duties: Ensure rooms are inspected, cleaned and maintained to hotel standards.The hotel requires that you will follow established Workplace Health & Safety rules and regulations and demonstrate duty of care to all of our associates.Assists the Housekeeping Manager in the management of all areas of the Housekeeping Department.To ensure the daily operations of the Housekeeping Office are productive and timely.To clean guest rooms, public areas and perform laundry duties as needed.To assist with rostering associates in a fair and equitable manner in accordance with forecasted occupancies and industry standards.To communicate on a daily basis with the Housekeeping Manager to ensure an effective flow of information.To coordinate, develop and present "on the job" training of team members in line with hotel policy and procedures. To support the departmental and hotel policies and procedures at all times.To act in a professional manner when liaising with associates, management, owners, guests and suppliers.To provide the highest standards of guest service, under any circumstances.About you and Requirements: Ability to focus on attention to detail with a "hands-on" approach.Excellent presentation and communication skills.Coaching and Counselling experience with managing teamsPrevious experience in a similar housekeeping role with knowledge of the high standards of a high standards.
