An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Guest Services Team; we are looking for a customer service focused individual to take on the Part Time dual role of Guest Services Agent/Porter.This is a rostered position so the successful candidate will need to be available to work any given day of the week, Monday to Sunday, for AM or PM shifts predominantly between the hours of 7am and midnight. Shifts and rostered days off will vary due to operational requirements. The part time position will provide approximately 16-40 hours per week and can be negotiated. The ideal candidate for this role will:Have a full clean New Zealand Driver’s license with the ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles is an advantageA good knowledge of the Wellington region is advantageous as you will be providing directions and recommendations to guests on services and attractions in the Wellington regionConfidence with up selling and have cash handing skillsHave excellent communication skillsThe ability to multi-task, take the initiative and adapt to a busy environmentHave the ability to defuse potential conflict situations and deal with guest problems in a professional mannerHave the desire to always put the customers’ needs above all elseA passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to see our hotel succeed in all areas of operationsPrevious concierge or reception experience in a 4-5 star hotel is advantageous, however full training will be provided. The position will include, but is not limited to:Checking guests in and outWelcome and farewell of guestsBe the first point of contact for guest enquiriesDeliver Luggage and messages to guest roomsValet car park vehicles and organise transportationA Full Clean New Zealand Driver’s License with the ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles is an advantage What we offer our employeesWe support and pay the living wage.
