As a Night Auditor/Night Porter you will support the Night Manager and Assistant Night Manager in the smooth running of the Front Office Department. The ideal candidates for this role will:Have excellent computer literacy as the role involves basic accounting and data entryStrong attention to detailPrevious customer service experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEnjoy working independently and in a team environmentPassion for the hotel industryA good knowledge of the Wellington region is an advantageA Full New Zealand Driver’s license with the ability to drive both Manual and Automatic vehicles will be an advantageA current first aid certificateThe willingness to obtain a General Managers license with the support of the hotel The position will include, but is not limited to:Greet and welcome guests to the hotel and provide any assistance as required. Provide information on the hotel and its facilities including Food & Beverage facilities, lifts, car parking, internet and information on the local area.Check in and check out of guests using the hotel computer system.Ensure all transactional procedures are adhered to and guest information from registration cards are entered and updated into the computer system.Ensure Guest ledger is updated daily, and any outstanding accounts are acted upon.Ensure all wakeup calls are programmed and rechecked correctly.Complete administration tasks such as data entry, filing and photocopying etc as required.Inspect the lobby, lifts and forecourt on a regular basis to ensure the areas are clean, tidy and operational.Complete security walks.Respond to and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
